Fixing Puffy Eyes

March 18, 2010

After a long week at work dealing with difficult people and even more difficult deadlines or trying to keep up with children can really take a tool on your eyes at times. If you look in the mirror and wonder if perhaps you got punched and just didn’t remember, you aren’t the only one! Dull and saggy eyes often result from stress and hormonal fluctuations that lead to fluid build up around your eyes. The natural reaction of most women is to try to cover them up with makeup so nobody can see them. While this can sometimes be an effective short term fix, it doesn’t really solve the problem in the long run and can actually make the problem worse by forcing your skin and already weak muscle tissue to support the extra weight and volume of excess makeup and concealer products. What you really need in that situation is a good puffy eye cream that will help encourage your body to transport that extra built up fluid elsewhere. Here’s a great article on why you should consider using an eye puffiness cream:

As you can see, part of the problem is that many of us are taking the wrong approach to deal with the issue. It’s no wonder I see some many reviews for eye wrinkle creams that complain about a lack of results for eye puffiness and under eye bags. It really is an issue that requires specialized treatment. It just goes to show you that rarely does a single cosmetic product ever solve all of your problems. You really do need to take a look at exactly what issue you are trying to resolve and make sure that the ingredient content of the eye product you are using matches up with what you are trying to get rid of. In a future post, I will try to highlight a few specific puffy eye creams that users seem to get good results with.
