Frownies Reviews
December 6, 2006
I’ve recently received a considerable reader interest in a product called Frownies. It is a bit of a break from our standard format as it isn’t a wrinkle cream per say but it is designed to reduce wrinkles – specifically frown lines, expression lines, and smile lines. We decided to check out the product to see what all of the hype was about. Here’s what our review team discovered:
The product consists of adhesive pads that are designed to be applied to the face while you sleep to “retrain” your facial muscles. The company suggests that you will see results within 3-4 weeks provided that the product is used daily. Our review team was unable to find any clinical studies or trial data to support their claims so that was a bit disappointing. If the product works as well as advertised, why not get some independent confirmation from a reliable third party testing facility? Another issue that our review team raised is that the company says to allow 10-14 days for your order to arrive. This seems a bit long for a product shipping within the same country. It took a while to find the ingredient list on their website. We did find it and discovered that the product consists of nothing more than Kraft paper and dry gum adhesive (I’m no chemist but that sounds a lot like tape). Overall, we were less than impressed with the product. If you are looking for a similar product that works well in these same areas, we suggest trying one of the other wrinkle reducers previously reviewed. Our favorite is still the Athena 7 Minute Lift. The product has performed well in clinical trials and is backed by some extremely customer friendly shipping and return policies. You can find more information on their product through their website at: Athena 7 Minute Lift
